We are pleased to announce the sale of the Golf Course is now concluded. As of 4.00pm on Friday 16th October the Lakes Resort Golf Course and Club House is now owned by Lakes International Golf Course Ltd. The directors of Lakes International Golf Course are Stuart Galloway ,Auckland businessman and Grant Robertson, retired businessman and Lakes Resort resident, both Stuart and Grant are keen golfers and look forward to returning the golf course and facilities to International standard.
The Golf Course and Country Club will be managed by Lakes International Golf Management Ltd. The directors of this company are Grant Robertson, Stuart Galloway and Richard Ellis.
Over the past 12 months the condition of the golf course has deteriated immensely due to the lack of capital. As you will appreciate it will take some time to get the course back to the International standard that we have all previously experienced. We would like to thank the members committee who have managed the funds from the subscription fees account and kept the golf course going due these difficult times.
There is much work to do and it starts today!
The new owners are committed to the long term success of Lakes Resort and will provide the necessary capital to ensure the facilities are brought back to International standards and will be amongst the best in New Zealand.
